How this is calculated

  • Contribution per case = expected payment − (consumables + staff time cost + other per-case cost).
  • Staff time cost = (minutes ÷ 60) × loaded hourly rate.
  • Break-even volume = allocated monthly fixed cost ÷ contribution per case.
  • The sensitivity panel re-runs contribution and break-even at payment reduced by 5% and 10%.

What it does not do

  • It does not know your payer mix, contracted rates or site-of-service differentials — you supply the blended payment.
  • It does not model tax, depreciation, or the opportunity cost of the room and session used.
  • It does not include benchmark comparison, because we do not publish benchmark data we have not licensed.
